Transnational Education Group was founded in 2012 by Alexa Chopivsky, a native of Washington, DC. A Yale graduate, she is a former NBC News journalist based in New York, Washington and London. Read her full bio

While working as a freelance journalist based in Kyiv from 2009-2011, Alexa was inspired by Georgian reformers – young professional Ministers who spoke perfect English, had international experience and a resulting modern, progressive, European worldview. She was inspired by the “Georgian story” to create TEG, an organization dedicated to promoting promising young people through leadership development programs in Washington and New York, including engagement with top-level American leaders across various professional spheres.

What our alumni say after participation in our programs:

"The TEG program has changed my worldview. Now I know the difference between American and Ukrainian lifestyles. TEG has inspired me and even made me think of how I can best contribute to the development of Ukraine. I feel the difference between American and Ukrainian system of education, and to be honest, I'm dreaming of studying in the USA. I enjoyed learning and preparing for the TOEFL and ACT with «Marks Education» a lot.
TEG has made my dream come true: it gave me a chance to visit the USA and inspired me to discover more in life. I am truly grateful to TEG and everyone involved in the program because students from Ukraine now have a chance to change their future and the future of their country. Thank you, TEG. P.S. It was the best month of my life!"

TEG 2013 alum Rostyslav

"These were probably the best two weeks of my life. We met a lot of interesting people, who can change one’s outlook and motivate not only with their deeds or ideas, but also with their life stories. The program was created for leaders, for those who want to get ahead, for those who want to be the best. The trip has influenced me more than I could have expected. Thank you, Transnational Educational Group! "
